"We met Robin Dielman at an open house approximately three years ago (my wife and I were dreaming about living in the Almaden Valley and cruising open houses). From our first conversation with Robin, we “clicked” with her. She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and very open, so much so, that we ended up spending about 45 minutes with her that day chatting.

Fast forward to about a year later, my wife and I were ready to take the plunge and sell both of our “single person homes” and buy a home together. We contacted Robin and set up a meeting to talk strategy. The plan was to sell my home first, bank the proceeds, then sell my wife’s home a year later and buy our dream home. Robin toured my “bachelor” home and helped me pick paint colors, etc. She also knew some very reasonable painters who she referred me to and Robin even staged the home prior to sale. It was no surprise that we had our first offer on the home within a week of it going on the market.

Unfortunately, a couple weeks into the escrow, it fell through. Robin was very empathetic, keeping us calm and letting us know she’d hold open houses that weekend and that we’d be back in escrow again. After a couple open houses, sure enough, we were in escrow and about 45 days later we closed (for more than asking price). A couple weeks after we closed the “bachelor” house, Robin called us. She told us that prices were going up in the Almaden, and it might be to our advantage to speed up our timetable on moving if possible, as homes that we wanted were appreciating in value rather quickly. After painting and some minor improvements suggested by Robin, we quickly put my wife’s “single mom” home on the market.

Unfortunately, due to the uniqueness of this property, it didn’t sell quite as quickly as my wife and I had thought it would and we were starting to panic; thank God for Robin! She held our hand through several phone calls and home visits letting us know it would sell and that she was actively marketing the property; we were even a featured “open house” in the Sunday paper one weekend! She was right, about two weeks later a lovely family put a full price offer in on the house and we were in escrow! We actually got into escrow on my wife’s home the same day we found our dream house in the Almaden. We put in a strong offer on our dream home, as the market was very competitive in the Almaden and our offer was contingent on the sale of my wife’s home. About 930pm that night we got a call saying that our offer on the Almaden home was accepted! Robin is an all-around gem! She is an amazing Realtor as well as a therapist, construction consultant and she also has great lender resources. Through our journey to find our dream home, Robin has become a true friend. You would be hard-pressed to find someone who cares more about assisting you in finding the home of your dreams or assisting you in selling your home.
